Abstract

The relevance is determined by the need to further study the geological and geophysical conditions of localization of gold-bearing mineralizations of a promising epithermal type within the BariloKrepin ore field. The aim of this article is to show the features of the geological structure of the ore field, the geological, structural and lithological factors controlling gold-bearing mineralizations and their representation in potential fields. Materials and methods. This article is based on materials obtained during geological mapping and prospecting operations in the southern part of Eastern Donbass, carried out in different years by different production organizations. The results of aerogeophysical work in 2012 were also used. When processing the initial data, methods of metallogenic analysis of ore-controlling factors, spatial analysis of the relationship of ore mineralization with anomalies of potential fields, and statistical analysis of geochemical data were used. Results. It has been established that the main tectonic structures controlling the placement of gold-bearing veined-interspersed sulfide mineralization are longitudinal discontinuous faults. They have a latitudinal extent and extend over a distance of up to 1 km. The area of localization of gold-bearing mineralizations is sets of short transverse ruptures of the northeastern orientation of the type of displacements adjacent to the main longitudinal fault. In general, the sets of transverse disturbances are represented by neardisplacement transtension structures. The areas of quartz-ankerite-sulfide veined-interspersed mineralization with the maximum development of the gold-arsenopyrite-pyrite association and the late galena-sphalerite and tetrahedrite associations are gold-bearing. The area of the potential ore field is composed of non-magnetic terrigenous formations of Carboniferous age, which correspond to a low-contrast magnetic field of low intensity (from –30 to +40 nTl). Carboniferous formations are also characterized by a low apparent electrical resistivity (from 50 to 350 Ω·m). Interspersed sulfide mineralization manifests itself in anomalies of apparent polarizability of relatively high intensity (4-7 %). At the same time, gold-bearing veined quartz-ankerite-sulfide mineralization is manifested in anomalies of apparent polarizability of relatively low intensity (3-4 %).
