Abstract

We consider the electric dipole sounding data Khadum dome, located in the center of the cascade of Sulak hydroelectric power during the strong earthquake in Daghestan (Russia, Caucasus), which occurred in January 31, 1999. The distribution of epicenters of earthquakes shows the presence of its connection with the aftershocks of a strong earthquake on May 14 1970. Before the major thrusts in the range of magnitude 5.7 – 4.6 reported anomalous decrease of the apparent resistivity of the rock in the 85 – 20 % associated with the preparation for the gap in the crust.
