Abstract

Work aims investigation of the peculiarities of the parameters of focal mechanisms of earthquakes occurring in the territory of the Middle Kur depression. The analysis was performed according to earthquake records of digital seismic stations of Azerbaijan for the period 2003-2013. Focal mechanisms are built using the program «FPFIT». It is determined that all the mechanisms at territory of Middle Kur depressions are of two types: downthrow and shift faults. On the continental part of the territory of Azerbaijan mechanisms relate to both upthrow and downthrow-shift faults.
