Abstract

The problems of glacial catastrophes and non-catastrophic glacial surges of Kolka glacier dating discussed. The possibility of phytoindication consequences of glacial catastrophes in the valley of Genaldon river considered. The resulted arguments convincingly prove actuality of plant indication methods for exposure of glacial catastrophes tracks in the landscape. The noted conformities can be used as an instrument of prognostication, in particular for the search of valleys, potentially dangerous in regard to a defeat avalanche-type streams and glacial mudflows in different mountain regions.
