Abstract

In the work the correlation interrelations between the linear and nonlinear characteristics of soils, established according to the data of the records of the fluctuations of different soils, registered with strong Rachinskiy earthquake of 1991 (Georgia) and to the results of special studies is given. Is examined the physical sense of the introduced by the author index, closely related to the absorption and the physical nonlinearity of the soils in the form of the area of the under spectra region of the normalized and real oscillation spectra of soils. The correspondence of the special features of a change in the indices of the dynamic behavior of soils (dynamic hardness of soil) and area of the normalized and real spectrum of ground of fluctuations is established. It is shown that depending on the level of action and strength of soils the relative quantitative assessment of the degree of nonlinearity and inelasticity of soils completely distinctly is manifested and can be produced. This made it possible to obtain empirical relationships for the reliable and physically substantiated differentiation of soils according to their seismic properties.
