Abstract

Foundations for gas glaciodynamics definition as a new field of investigations in the Earth sciences are given in the article. Gas glaciodynamics objects are defined. The main tasks of gas glaciodynamics investigations are formulated. The place of gas glaciodynamics among the Earth sciences, its links and relations with allied sciences are proved. The article also considers the questions of this field formation. The features of the modern stage of gas glaciodynamics development are characterized.
