Abstract

The main goal of the study is to numerically model the effects of local soil conditions in sedimentary basins. Taking into consideration other impacts, such as geological situation and structure, underground water level, man-made effects on ground condition, secondary geological effects, etc. we are generally focused on complex analyses of ground condition. For this case we have involved and collected a dense set of in-situ seismic measurements in Gyumri-city to supplement existing knowledge. We have used this dataset to study the spatial correlation structure of S-wave velocities and microtremor predominant frequencies in Gyumri-city part of Shirak sedimentary basin. The average characteristic velocity value of 310 m/s and predominant periods of natural vibrations of soils (F0<1 (0,45Hz on average) and 5
