METALLOGENY OF THE NORTH CAUCASUS - PRESENT AND FUTURE

Abstract

In this paper we consider new ideas about the Jurassic metallogenic systems of the North Caucasus. Attention is drawn to the wide-areal development of stratiform mineralization of base metals, lead, zinc, gold, copper, associated with the early Alpine (Cimmerian) history of geological development is paid. The examples of two types of regional stratiform lead-zinc and pyrite mineralization are given.
