Abstract

Probability models of peak acceleration, spectra and other strong motion parameters based on statistical analysis of large amounts of data on the instrumental registration is proposed. Models can increase the accuracy and reliability of projections at the regional and local level, through better integration of potentially hazardous characteristics of earthquakes and geological environment properties, including local ground conditions.
