Modern concepts on the subject and tasks of geoecology
Abstract
Relevance. Modern understanding of geoecology is essential for the comprehensive study of natural and anthropogenic systems and the development of mechanisms for their management. Geoecology is a relatively new branch of the Earth sciences, but it has already received a wide variety of interpretations of both its scientific direction and its problems and objectives. The aim of this research is not so much a discussion of existing definitions and terminology, but rather an attempt to unite diverse concepts into a systemic scientific direction on the living environment, the patterns of its formation, development, and transformation, as well as to identify a specific range of geological and geographical objects and research objectives, as well as their ecological properties. The article utilizes general scientific methods of natural history analysis and synthesis, as well as a method of systematization and classification. Results. The authors propose a structure for the relatively young science of “Geoecology", which is currently a mandatory discipline in the training of scientific and teaching personnel. The practical implementation of the conducted work is proposed in the passport of the scientific specialty 1.6.21. “Geoecology", consider four blocks of research: paleogeoecology, geoecology of nature management, geoecology of the anthroposphere and sociosphere, exodynamic geoecology.
